Preserve & Practice!
That is our motto here at The Eucalyptus School.
We are here to teach the art of outdoor painting, the art of practicing, and participation of perception of Gods inspiration.
We strive to opening the awareness of the kingdom of God all around us which creates the fullness of what we are able to perceive. And therefore, translate through our own unique expression.
We want out artists to tap into their own individual way of expressing God’s glory
through their unique perspective using the medium of open air (Plein-Air) painting.
What you will learn:
We will practice a fluid intuitive style of teaching. Each day, setting and individual will require unique focus on all or any of these main painting principles:
composition
value
color harmony
light/shadow
how to see
Of these, our primary focus will be on learning how to see. This focus should succeed in shortening the learning curve of the other principles as well as provide a truly alternative learning experience.
COME JOIN US!
Here in Laguna Beach and the surrounding area we do indeed experience
seasonal changes that can be dramatically different, not only from one season, but also from year to year. This keeps the experience of plein-air always varied and exciting!
We plan the time of sessions per season in accordance with the typically optimal light and weather conditions in that tie of year.
Along with the varied weather, the quality of light changes dramatically, which is of paramount concern for the plein-air painter.
We are shooting for a schedule that will get us out in the best of each season.
That being said, in some cases, we may collectively choose to adjust for unique weather/light conditions.
(closing statement)We'd love to share this experience with you and make us all better....
